Hey Everyone,
There comes a time when you have to focus on saving your life – for you.
And, it starts with you.
TIME FOR HEALTH
Finding the time to do what is necessary requires preparation and consistency of purpose. You may say, “I am just too busy with other things.” This is an unacceptable excuse. As a matter of fact, no excuse should prevent you from taking care of number one. You only have one life to live, my friend.
Tell me, do you own a car and maintain it yearly, because you need it to perform at optimum efficiency?
Well, a similar maintenance routine is required for your body.
You are a treasure that needs to be checked out and given what you need to shine in all of your glory.
It is amazing the pride some people have in material things like a new car and other collectibles. “Oh, what a beauty, she purrs just right”, you may say.
But, are you purring beautifully or coughing horribly?
Only you would know that.
REALITY ABOUT HEALTH
What would it take to make you take care of your health? In some cases, an emergency trip to the hospital or a near death experience would do the job.
Just know that for some people, it is too late to change anything. But, if you are reading this today, you still have a chance to make changes that could improve the quality of your life.
PLAN FOR HEALTH
For starters, a commitment or statement of purpose needs to be written down and placed where you can see those words daily. You can jot it down in your daily planner, place it on the bathroom mirror or stick it on the refrigerator. It does not matter where you put it as long as there is a constant reminder of what you plan to do for your health.
Now that the commitment part is out of the way. You should plan to:
* Get a physical check up from your doctor. This is a “must do” step.
* Eat foods that heal your body like fruits, vegetables and protein bars.
* Drink lots of water and herbal teas like chamomile and ginger.
* Exercise indoors and outdoors regularly. Fresh air and sunshine are good for you.
* Enjoy hobbies like reading, gardening and archery.
* Rest from exhaustion as often as possible.
* Treat yourself to an outing, a beautiful outfit, a fragrance or something you always wanted to do.
* Enjoy meeting new friends on a free social platform like Wealthy Affiliate.
* Be happy and ask God for guidance and strength.
CHEERS TO YOUR HEALTH
To achieve good health, you have to embrace the physical, mental, social and spiritual realms. The focus on saving your life by trying to be healthy is an amazing process. With a purpose and consistency, follow through with your plans and make changes to improve your health.
I hope this is useful.
Until next time.
Your friend,
Maxine

This is truly relevant on today’s time. People get so busy and they often neglect to care for themselves and some just realize it when its too late. Nice post! It was very helpful and inspiring

These are all great points. It is so easy to forget about and neglect ourselves, but we shouldn’t forget about the importance of taking care of ourselves and setting a good example for our families.
Hi Jessica,
Thank you for your comment. Most of US love our families and really do want to be there for them. To do so, we have to live by example.

Sometimes we all think we are invincible and this article is a good reminder that we are not, but we can prevent bad things from happening with a few cautious steps. I agree with all of the points you brought up especially eating well and getting out and exercise. The fresh air and the sunshine are not just for your physical but also for your mental health as well.
Great summary on how to look after yourself!
Thank you for this post,
j.
Hey j.
Thank you for your honest comment.
Just remember without health there is no wealth.
Until next time,
Maxine
Wow, this is a fantastic article. Yes, we frequently use the excuse that we are preoccupied with other matters. While taking care of our health is the most important thing we can do.
As you mentioned, some of us are in the impossible predicament of regaining our health.
For me, I write out my health goals and hang them on the wall in my bedroom to remind myself of the most essential thing in my life.
Thank you very much.
Hey Lionel,
Thank you for your valuable comment.
We agree that taking care of our health is most important.
Health is Wealth!
Blessings,
Maxine
Excellent advice Maxine. It’s funny that we wouldn’t consider not servicing our car, we certainly wouldn’t wait until it breaks down but we often do this with our bodies. It’s such a shame. My father died from a heart problem that could have been helped with more sleep, better eating, and some exercise but he was against all of these things and he died young. It seems crazy not to at least try to stay healthy by changing a few little details.
Thanks for making me think about my health.
Thank you for stopping by and leaving an honest comment. Very much appreciated.
Blessings,
Maxine
Hey Great article, thanks for this!
I truly believe it is super important to out yourself first, to look after yourselves including doing what makes you happy because you literally only live once so why waste that time and not do what you want!
You gotta look after yourself whether that be through eating, exercising, hobbies whatever puts a smile on your face and heart!
Thanks again for reminding everyone the importance of yourself!
Hey Sariyah,
Thank you for the comment. Much appreciated.
Please continue to take care of yourself!
Blessings always,
Maxine
